Before you can send out invitations to corporate events or a wedding venue, you must first choose the appropriate event spaces. Then, send out your invitations four to six weeks ahead of the event. Your invitations should include all the necessary information, such as the identification of the host and the location of the corporate event venue. Be sure to include the time as well as the date, along with RSVP information and, if appropriate, the theme or occasion. Depending on the particular event you are hosting, you may wish to include a brief note about other requirements, such as “black tie required” or “formal attire required.”

The style and tone of your writing should reflect the formal nature of your event. “Join us to celebrate and bring a covered dish” may be appropriate for a neighborhood potluck, but for a formal event, you’ll need to write something like, “The honor of your presence is requested.”
